The Company
Cosmetic Creations is a Contract Manufacturer of Skin
Care Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrances. A Product
Development, Regulatory Requirement and Packaging
Consultancy is also available.
The Business was established in the existing premises in
1982.
Cosmetic Creations Limited commenced operations on
November 1st 1999, following a management buy out of the
assets and contract manufacturing business of Cosmetic
Manufactures (Ireland) Limited, a subsidiary of Nutrimetics
International, part of the Sara Lee Direct Selling
Organisation.
Currently employing 20 people in a 25000 sq ft facility
we have a capacity to produce up to 7 million units
annually.
Product Range
Specialising in the use of Natural Plant and Herbal
extracts, we produce a wide range of:
- Cleansers, Toners, Moisturisers, Facial Scrubs and
Masques, Hand and Body Lotions, Anti Ageing Creams, Anti
Cellulite Preparations, Sun Care Products, AHA Creams and
Exfolients, Bust Firming Gels, Eye and Neck Creams.
- Shampoos, Conditioners, Hair Gels, Bath and Shower
Products, Liquid Soaps, Anti Perspirants and
Deodorants.
- Perfumes, Fragrances, After Shave Lotions &
Balms, Talcs.
- Aromatherapy Products, Tea Tree Range.
- Seaweed Based Bath, Shower and Body Products.
- Dental Pastes and Rinses.
Customer Base
While current customers are predominantly Irish
Companies, such as Irish Breeze, Fragrances of Ireland,
Seavite Body Care, Total Shaving Solution, LLR G5, Beeline
Healthcare, Ri na Mara, Conamara Shores, many of the
products manufactured are exported to the UK, Continental
Europe and the USA. We are the European manufacturing base
for Parnell Pharmaceuticals of California and export
directly to Nutrimetics International in both France and
Greece.
Run Size
While run sizes of as little as 500 units are possible,
5000 would be regarded as our standard commercial minimum
batch size.
The Process
The adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality
Assurance Specifications govern all stages of the operation,
from Vendor Approval, In-Process Controls through to Final
Inspection, Microbiological Testing and Release of the
Finished Product.
The Company was awarded The Quality Mark from the Irish
Quality Association in 1991 and achieved ISO 9002
Accreditation in 1994. We are registered with the U.S. Food
and Drug Administration as a Cosmetic Product Manufacturing
Facility.
Equipment
Modern Process and Filling equipment is employed in the
manufacture and filling of Cosmetic Creams, Lotions Gels,
Liquids and Powders. A variety of filling equipment is
available to ensure efficient filling and packing of
Bottles, Jars and Tubes.
Packaging
While it is normal for customers to supply the required
components, packaging and labels and in some cases specific
raw materials, we provide advice on sourcing these items and
will store such items free of charge in our warehouse for a
reasonable time.
Research and
Development
A Formulation and Product Development service is offered
along with Technical Support and assistance with Regulatory
issues.
Our Research Chemist, may, together with the Customer,
devise and create formulations incorporating specific
ingredients to meet current opportunities in the market
place. Alternatively, products are manufactured to our
Customers formulations and specification.
The People
Key Personnel are highly qualified, trained and committed
to meeting our Customer requirements.
Production personnel receive training in all aspects of
their jobs, and follow a formal operational and awareness
programme.
Current Capacity
Following the cessation of the Nutrimetics business we
now have spare capacity on all lines and can now offer our
Product Development and Manufacturing Service to a wider
Customer base, while maintaining our consistently high
standards of Quality, Customer Service and Competitive
Prices.
